Details
If you want to get back to the basics, the Torrent 1 is the way to go — it’s an aggressive, high-speed chromoly hardtail that eats hype for dinner and lets you prove your mettle on the toughest trails.
Using Norco's holistic approach to fit and geometry, the Torrent 1's unique combination of our next generation of Gravity Tune, longer reach, slacker head tube angle, and steep seat tube angle provides a more forward weight distribution within a longer wheelbase. This allows more powerful pedaling, increased climbing traction, and added grip and control when descending.
To go along with the basic theme of the butted chromoly frame, we spec'd the Torrent 1 with a SRAM GX/NX 12-speed drivetrain. We also gave it some real big bike credibility with a 150mm RockShox Lyrik Ultimate RC2 fork; a burly SRAM DUB crankset; and robust, 4-piston Code R brakes.

A dropper seatpost allows you to quickly lower and raise your seat to give you an ideal riding position. Dropping your seat creates a lower center of gravity for better control and maneuverability on steep descents, while raising it puts you at normal riding height for efficient pedaling.
Construction can include either hydraulic- or cable-actuated systems and the post’s travel can either be infinitely adjustable or stopped at set intervals, depending on the model.
Dropper seatposts come in standard lengths and diameters and vary by the amount of travel.
