Details

The Compulsion 3 was born and bred for the world’s most committed enduro racers and aggressive trail riders. Its full carbon frame includes carbon links and a carbon rear triangle, making for an ultralight and incredibly stiff chassis that accelerates up climbs unlike any other bike in its class. The Compulsion 3 also includes tubeless-ready Race Face Aeffect-R wheels, which are ideal for fast trails and nimble, confident handling.

Cons

  • Cheap rear shock

Best Uses

Comments:

stock tires and saddle stink, the slx is a smooth shifting but maybe a little slow. the rear suspension has no peddle bob when sitting. I used the bike for shuttling in Auburn. I like this bike very much, but will install a shorter stem

Comments:

There aren't any mountains where I live so "all-mountain" does not apply. There are some fun trails with decent drops though. The bike continues to impress me with its capabilities and has allowed me to push my own abilities. The fork (Pike)is amazing! Climbs well and I can really feel the rear-end working as I'm climbing. Only real gripe would be the rear shock. If I set it up for riding trail, then it bottoms-out rather easily when riding off of drops. Haven't had a harsh bottom-out yet, but I can feel it when it happens. "Put more air in the shock" you say? Then it's too stiff and harsh for the rest of the ride/trail. The tires and saddle are personal preferences and vary from person to person so I won't bother elaborating on those. All in all, the bike is a great ride for the money.

excellent climber. the equilink technology really works, no need to lock out the rear suspension. can take pretty much all terrain. i dont like the tire though, so i changed it. overall is a great bike at great price.
