Breezer’s Downtown 8 ST is the perfect accessory for all occasions—whether it’s the office on Monday, the grocery store on Wednesday, or dinner Saturday night. This sweet-riding steel bike has a comfortable, upright riding position and swept-back handlebars, so you can sit up and take in the sights. It also features a skirt-friendly, step-through design that offers easy on/off. Its 700c wheels get you there quickly and linear-pull brakes keep you firmly in control. The 8-speed Shimano Nexus drivetrain is contained within the rear hub for minimal maintenance and a clean look. The Downtown is concerned with utility as well as aesthetics, so it comes with matching fenders to help keep things clean, a rack to carry everything you need, plus a bell to let people know you’re near.
Internal hub gearing is a gearing system built into the rear wheel hub. It allows you to shift at any time, even when not pedaling, like at a stop sign. Because the majority of parts are housed within the hub, the gearing mechanism is protected from weather and grime, and therefore requires almost no maintenance. Plus, with less external parts than a derailleur system, you’ll get consistently smooth, reliable shifts.
